Whip out those calendars, it's time to save some dates!
Here are a couple things you may want to note that are just around the corner…
- MOCHA, a support group for mothers of children with hindered abilities, meets every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm in C103. This week the speaker will be sharing about the nutritional link to asthma, attention deficit disorder, autism and 90% of the health problems kids face today and the vital role proteins, real fats and carbohydrates play in giving your kids the foundation for lifelong health.
- Sunday, May 1, kids who are in 1st-8th grade will have the opportunity to sing with the worship team in a special performance. If your child is interested and you would like more information about practices, please reply to this email.
- Mark your calendars!!! VBC (elementary VBS) will be June 13-17 from 9am to 1pm. It’s open to kids who have completed K-5th grade. Online registration will open in April. More details to come!
- BRAND NEW summer camp for kids! If you’ve never heard me talk about History Camp, I hope I can convey my excitement through email! It’s one of the best camps I’ve ever been involved in and this will be the first year we do it here at Wayzata Free! My good friend, Ollie Skurdahl…you may have heard of him…he’s been teaching the 4th-5th grade Grapple class and has built some amazing props, sets, and structures on Sunday Mornings…anyway, he LOVES history and is a very gifted teacher! He has done a dozen or so History Camps involving various time periods and historical figures. This year will be The Amazing Life of Abraham Lincoln: Biblical Applications from Lincoln’s Life. This camp includes hands-on projects, reenactment of key moments in Lincoln’s life, awesome biblical applications, and a fun field trip on the last day. Save the dates! It will run Monday, August 9 through Thursday, August 12, only costs $10 and is open to 3rd-5th grade. More details to come!
More information about online registration and costs will be coming in April! Email me at sara.galligan@wayzatafree.org with questions!
